Day 9. Hiring Employees – When Your Business Grows
As your business grows, you will eventually reach a point where you need support.
In this step, I will show you how to hire employees in a targeted manner, proceed legally correctly and build your corporate culture with the right people – or alternatively, work flexibly with freelancers .

📋 1. Personnel planning – What do you really need?
Before posting positions, you should consider whether you want to hire permanent staff or initially outsource to external service providers such as freelancers. This largely depends on your business model, the workload, and your budget. Typical options:
Full-time/part-time employees
Freelancers and self-employed people
Interns or working students
Create a staffing plan that covers your next 6-12 months.
🧑💼 2. Recruiting and training – Finding the right talent
Structured recruiting saves time and ensures suitable team members:
Create job descriptions with clear tasks, requirements and benefits
Choose channels : job portals, LinkedIn, personal networks or agencies
Conduct interviews with a clear list of criteria
Create an induction plan so that new employees quickly become productive and feel comfortable
Tip: Pay attention not only to skills, but also to values, motivation and team fit.
📑 3. Comply with employment contracts and legal requirements
As soon as you hire employees, you must also act legally correctly:
Draw up employment contracts with clear regulations on tasks, salary, vacation, working hours and notice periods
Insurance & registration : paying social security contributions, registering with health insurance companies, etc.
Observe data protection and occupational health and safety – even when working from home
Ideally, have your first contract reviewed by a specialist lawyer or tax advisor.
✅ Conclusion
Hiring employees is a big step—but also a milestone. Plan carefully, choose consciously, and build a team that shares your vision. This lays the foundation for sustainable growth.
